Exciting New Chapter: Announcing the New Owner of At Her Table
We are delighted to announce that, as of January 1, 2025, At her Table has transitioned to new ownership. Founded in 2021 by Michelle Barrera, At Her Table has been a cornerstone in celebrating and supporting women-owned businesses in the food, beverage, and lodging industries along California’s Central Coast.
The New Leadership Team
Candice Custodio and Mariana Hernandez, the new owners, are deeply committed to upholding and expanding the organization’s mission of elevating awareness, support, and connection among entrepreneurs in the hospitality sector. Candice, known to many in our community as Chef Candice of Club SupSup, is a local private chef who has been an active member in At Her Table. Mariana is a local, working in management at one of your favorite local breweries. The two women carry with them nearly 2 decades of friendship that started in college at Cal Poly SLO from where they both graduated. They are excited to build upon the strong foundation established by Michelle and to continue fostering a community that values diversity, equality, and inclusivity.
Looking To The Future
Our upcoming initiatives include:
- Women’s Week March 1-9, 2025: We are making strides to continue the tradition of the annual Women’s Week celebration. This year will look slightly different with less events and more focus on celebrating the businesses in our community as well as the women behind the businesses. Look forward to a week of unique events!
- Entrepreneurial Elevation: A multifaceted Learning Journey: We are looking to offer comprehensive educational programs covering marketing, business management, diversity, and more, led by industry experts and designed to enhance skills and support professional growth.
- Connect & Cultivate: Entrepreneurial Networking: At Her Table will now be year round. We are aiming to host a monthly series of networking and educational events aimed at fostering community, collaboration, and professional growth amongst our membership.
We are also pleased to announce that membership with At Her Table remains completely free, and we encourage all eligible businesses and individuals to join our growing network. By supporting At Her Table, you’re not just experiencing the rich culture of the Central Coast; you’re also part of a movement that honors the significant contributions of women in the hospitality industry.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Michelle Barrera for her visionary leadership and dedication over the past years. You can continue with her journey by checking out EnjoySLO.
