Farm Blanc Et Rouge

Farm Blanc Et Rouge

Named Farm Blanc et Rouge for 3 reasons. First: After all, this is wine country and we all choose either white (Blanc) or red (Rouge) wine! Second, the house is white and the barns are red. Finally, I am half French and enjoy my French heritage. I couldn’t resist sharing a little French with our guests! This wonderful farm was originally built in 1927. Its history includes life as a hunting lodge, lavender farm (which you will see blooming in the Spring and early summer), a horse farm, and chicken coup- which is now relocated by the barn- we call it Chez Poulet and has 14 hens.

We love the history and, while re-imagining this serene slice of heaven, we repurposed many unique parts such as original board/batten walls, Adelaida stone, large beams, and other treasures sprinkled throughout the restoration. Our 1 bed/1bath guest residence is called Le Coop. Our 2 bed/2bath is called The Ranch House. Both have a full kitchen, CalKing beds, en suite bathrooms and private laundry. They are stocked with basic provisions for ease of arrival. 2 original beautiful barns frame the homestead. The “big” barn has been restored for small events or for our guests to hang out at the bar, lounge or shoot some pool and includes a Cal King bedroom, bathroom and full commercial kitchen for private dinners or events! Hike the 42 acres for hours discovering the view over L’Aventure’s vineyards, the Manzanita, and Enchanted Forest, and other lovely spots. Enjoy a bottle of wine atop several awesome look out points on the property. You can also walk or cycle the quiet road to nearby wineries such as L’Aventure, Austin Hope, Windward, and so many others. Or just sit on the wrap around full covered porch enjoy a bottle of wine and listen to the hawks circle overhead, the quail flutter or other wild life play their music for you. It is so quiet you can hear the oaks sigh. It truly is magical here. Our guest residences host a total of 8-10 people. This is certainly not your average vacation rental!
